In the US, I feel that pregnancy has become so normalized the baby showers and gender reveal parties that we fail to consider just how dangerous a pregnancy can become to the pregnant woman. When you factor in economic handicaps that women can encounter along with genetic abnormalities that can arise, I strongly feel that any pregnancy issues that may arise should ONLY be addressed between the pregnant woman and her physician.
